Om March 19, 2024 the Gouverneur Masonic Temple #217 presented the DeWitt Clinton Award to an indiividual and a organization that was very deserving of the award. 

Judy Bush, for her 25 years of dedicated service to the community to the senior lunch program at the United Methodist Church. Judy saw a need for the community of Gouverneur during the Ice Storm of 1998 to feed the seniors during this trying time. She has since expanded this program to feed the community during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Between the community Thanksgiving Dinner and the Christmas Ham Dinner, food is provided for well over 600 souls. It is my honor and privilege to present Judy Bush with the Individual DeWitt Clinton award.

Gouverneur Elks Lodge #2035, for all they do for Gouverneur and the surrounding communities. All the wonderful programs they provide are really appreciated by the community. They provide programs such as the free senior lunch during the holidays as well as the kids Christmas. The kids' Christmas is  such a gift to the Gouverneur community. It helped over 250 children celebrate Christmas this past year alone.The veteran dinner on Veterans Day. All their support of time and talents helps organizations with fundraisers. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks principles are Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity. The most important of these is Charity. It is my great honor to present the Organization DeWitt Clinton Award to the B.P.O.E Gouverneur Elks Lodge #2035
