Thanksgiving Message from the Most Worshipful Steven Adam Rubin, Grand Master of Masons in the State of New York

My dear Brothers and Masonic Family Members,

Perhaps the two most important words in any and all languages is “Thank You”.

Giving thanks and showing appreciation should not be relegated to a single day. Granted, Thanksgiving Day is indeed a very special and significant time for all of us to pause and reflect upon the bounty and many blessings that our Heavenly Father has placed before us on our festive tables. It is a time to celebrate and embrace the love and fellowship shared with our families, friends, neighbors and brothers in communion with the Almighty.

But more importantly, thanksgiving should be given in earnest on a daily basis. As I ponder this thought, allow me to express my sincere gratitude to all of our beloved brethren for the kindness and compassion you have displayed in both difficult and good times. You have been a beacon of hope and encouragement for me and Mojdeh. Your honorable deeds and support strengthen us daily. We thank you and we give thanks to God for being able to call you Brother.

Continuing to share the memories and stories of our journey together has helped to keep the spirit of Masonry alive and brightens our day with cherished thoughts about the good times we have had and the positive experience we continue to share. Thank you for consistently going the extra mile and setting a high standard for us all. Your commitment to excellence is a testament to your good character. Your contributions are invaluable to our Masonic Family’s success and we are genuinely grateful.

And lastly, the Holy Scriptures teach us through the Prophet Moses to be thankful for “A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil of the olive, and honey; A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass. When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which He hath given thee.” Amen.

Let this Thanksgiving Day be a new beginning sitting at table with bowed heads, giving thanks and praise to our Heavenly Father not only on Thanksgiving Day, but on each and every day thereafter. When and if possible, reach out to the less fortunate with a loving gift to help sustain them during times of trouble. God bless each and everyone. May you be blessed with good health, good food, and a good life.

With kind fraternal love,

Steven Adam Rubin
