From ‘Proceedings of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York 1909

Knickerbocker Lodge was organized during the summer of 1848. A dispensation was secured June 6. 1848, and it began working under the jurisdiction of the Phillips Grand Lodge.

The Lodge worked under the authority of this dispensation for a short time, when it withdrew and applied for a dispensation from the Grand Lodge of the State of New York. The dispensation was granted September 26, 1850……..more information to come
